I have had the notion of writing a children’s book
About
Mary Mills
Some of my fondest childhood memories are of playing outside. I never outgrew my love for flowers and frogs, though I haven’t made a clover necklace in quite some time. I also find joy in reading, both on my own and with children. The thought of being in my garden, knowing that you’re enjoying my book at the same time, fills my heart with joy! Learning to read has always felt like magic to me. I fondly recall trips to the library with my mother and the joy of reading to my daughter when she was little. It’s a beautiful love to share, one that opens up worlds of endless possibilities.
Mary Mills invites you to discover the small joys in life. Inspired by William Blake’s notion of seeing “Heaven in a Wildflower,” she encourages you to observe the world closely—some things wish to be noticed, while others remain hidden. Take time to appreciate the intricate connections between plants and animals.
